I-465 EB Lane and Ramp Closures:

Construction progress continues and our crews are working around the clock to keep I-69 progressing toward the finish line. For the safety of motorists and construction crews, two lanes on I-465 eastbound will close at 9 p.m. on Friday, May 10, between I-65 and I-70 for pavement upgrades, dirt movement, grading activities, and overhead sign structure installation. Both lanes will reopen by 4 a.m. on Monday, May 13. Be prepared for delays in the area and plan ahead to take an alternative route.

The following ramp closures will also be in place from 9 p.m. on Friday, May 10, through 4 a.m. on Monday, May 13:

  • I-70 EB/WB to I-465 SB
  • SR 67/Kentucky Ave. to I-465 EB
  • Mann Rd. to I-465 EB
  • SR 37/Harding St. to I-465 EB
  • US 31/East St. to/from I-465 EB

I-465 Lane Closures/Stoppages:

  • Expect nightly double-lane closures and intermittent 20-minute stoppages at various locations on I-465 eastbound and westbound between I-65 and I-70 the evenings of Monday, April 29, through Friday, May 3. Closures and stoppages are expected between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. for pavement upgrades, overhead sign structure installation, and grading activities. 
  • Expect a single-lane closure and 20-minute stoppages on SR 37 northbound and southbound at Southport Road on the evenings of Wednesday, May 1, and Thursday, May 2, between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. for overhead sign installation.  
  • The southbound US 31/East Street ramp to I-465 westbound will remain closed into the summer months.  

    Lane Restrictions:

    • Expect daytime single-lane closures on eastbound and westbound on Smith Valley Road between SR 37 and Mullinix Road from Monday, April 29, through Friday, May 3, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. for minor concrete patching and concrete staining work.
    • Expect daytime single-lane closures on eastbound and westbound SR 144 between Old SR 37 and Eastern Service Road from Monday, April 29, through Friday, May 3, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. for minor concrete patching and concrete staining work.
    • There will be active flagging crews on the Eastern and Western Service Roads between County Line Road and SR 144 on Monday, April 29, through Friday, May 3, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. to install permanent right-of-way markers.
    • Expect lane closures and 20-minute stoppages at the Henderson Ford Road interchange and south of the interchange on I-69 on Monday, April 29, through Friday, May 3, between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. for mobile pavement striping operations.
    • Northbound I-69 has a single lane condition beginning just north of Stotts Creek and continuing for two miles. This alignment is expected into May 2024.  There may be intermittent lane closures for equipment movement.
    • On or after Monday, May 6, the SR 144 bridge over the White River will be restricted to one lane for rehabilitation work outside of the I-69 Finish Line project.
