Expect I-69 lane closures and changing traffic patterns on ramps

MARTINSVILLE, Ind. (June 3, 2022) – Roundabout construction east of I-69 will close State Road 252 for about one week starting on or after Monday, June 6. Paving crews will maintain I-69 entrance and exit ramp access to Hospital Drive west of the interstate and to S.R. 44/Reuben Drive.

Cramertown Loop has been closed for road reconstruction south of S.R. 252. Both Cramertown Loop and S.R. 252 are expected to reopen with the new roundabout, providing improved access to Grand Valley Shoppes from the north. Watch this short video to learn more about roundabouts for local traffic at I-69 interchanges in Morgan and Johnson counties.

During construction of the nearby roundabout, crews will be applying the final pavement layer and permanent striping to the I-69 interchange at S.R. 252/Hospital Drive. Through traffic on I-69 should expect lane closures.  Traffic entering and exiting I-69 at S.R. 44, Reuben Drive and Hospital Drive should expect shoulder closures, traffic shifts and short flagging delays for the paving and striping work.

About I-69 Finish Line
I-69 Finish Line is the sixth and final section of the Interstate 69 connection between Evansville and Indianapolis. The project will upgrade the existing S.R. 37 to interstate standards between Martinsville and Indianapolis.

Governor Eric Holcomb’s Next Level Connections program fully funded the project and accelerated construction by three years. I-69 Finish Line is expected to open to traffic in late 2024, improving safety and reducing travel time.
