Construction activities are continuing along I-465 and I-69/SR 37 on the I-69 Finish Line project. Contract crews are active and working hard to keep the corridor on track to open by late 2024.
Here is a list of construction related activities happening on I-465 this week. Please be advised that this work is weather dependent and may be delayed due to inclement conditions.
Temporary Roadway Lighting Installation
- Anticipate shoulder and single lane closures on I-465 EB from I-70 to Hanna Avenue, on Tuesday, February 6, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for temporary light installation.
- Anticipate a ramp closure on SR 67 (Kentucky Ave.) to I-465 WB, on Wednesday, February 7 and Thursday, February 8, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for temporary light installation.
Bridge Beam Setting
- Anticipate double-lane closures on I-465 WB over Harmond Ditch, on Tuesday, February 6, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. for beam setting. Intermittent, 20-minute traffic stoppages will also occur on I-465 WB between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.
- Anticipate double-lane closures on I-465 WB over Bluff Road, on Thursday, February 8, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. for beam setting. Intermittent, 20-minute traffic stoppages will also occur on I-465 WB and Bluff Road between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Barrier Wall Removal
- Anticipate removal of existing median barrier wall on I-465 from Mann Road to SR 67 (Kentucky Ave.) during daylight hours. Crews will be hauling debris off-site between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Be alert while driving through this area as intermittent 20-minute traffic stoppages may be needed along I-465 EB and WB.
Bridge Demolition
- Demolition work on the existing I-465 bridge structure above the White Rive will continue over the next few weeks but is not expected to impact traffic on I-465. Please stay focused while driving near and through the construction zone.
Pothole Repair
- Pothole repair crews are active and may cause intermittent lane closures or traffic stoppages on asphalt portions of I-465. Emergency repairs will be made during the day. Other repairs will be made at night with overnight lane closures from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

- Anticipate single daytime lane restrictions on SR 37 near SR 144 and Smith Valley Road from Monday, February 5 to Friday, February 9 for temporary lane striping.
