MORGAN COUNTY, Ind. (April 6, 2020) — From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, crews will be installing traffic signals at the intersections of SR 37/SR 144 and SR 37/Banta Road. As part of this work cables must be strung across SR 37, SR 144 and Banta Road, resulting in intermittent 20-minute closures during the day at both intersections.

The tentative schedule is to string cable across SR 37 and EB/WB SR 144 during the morning, and then move operations to NB/SB SR 37 and EB/WB Banta Road in the afternoon.

Law enforcement will assist with traffic control. Emergency vehicles that come upon a temporary stoppage will be allowed to pass through.

A temporary signal will be installed this year at Banta Road to help traffic enter and exit SR 37 during construction at nearby intersections.
