MARTINSVILLE, Ind. (May 19, 2020) — Drivers can expect overnight road closures near the intersection of State Road 37 and S.R. 252 to allow Duke Energy and their contractors to remove and install electric wires across roadways in the area. Closures are expected early Wednesday and Thursday mornings between 12 a.m. and 6 a.m., weather permitting, and will last 20-30 minutes each.

Northbound S.R. 37 traffic will stopped at Ohio Street and southbound S.R. 37 traffic will be held at S.R. 252/Hospital Drive. Access to the hospital will be maintained for emergency services. There will also be traffic stoppages near the intersection of S.R. 252 and Cramertown Loop.

Law enforcement will assist with the temporary closures and maintaining traffic between the closures. Crews are scheduled to finish electric line work next week with similar temporary closures on Tuesday, May 26 and Wednesday, May 27.
