MORGAN COUNTY, Ind. (Aug. 13, 2021) – State Road 37 northbound is expected to join southbound traffic later today on the new pavement north of Morgan Street. Two lanes of S.R. 37 – one in each direction separated by concrete barriers – will remain open for local traffic north of Martinsville as the new I-69 is built in phases.
Local road access to the east
Due to elevation changes between the new and old roads, S.R. 37 northbound access to and from three local roads will change following the traffic shift. Temporary traffic patterns are expected to remain in place for a few weeks.
Myra Lane and Teeters Road access will be routed over small sections of the existing S.R. 37 pavement. All drivers on S.R. 37 northbound should follow the signs and reduce their speed though the area. Right turns onto Myra Lane and Teeters Road will be south of the previous intersections.
Myra Lane and Teeters Road may continue to turn right onto S.R. 37 northbound. Left turn movements to and from S.R. 37 southbound remain closed.
Twin Branch Road access to S.R. 37 will also be closed. Drivers may access the area from the south using S.R. 44. See the maps below.

About I-69 Finish Line
I-69 Finish Line is the sixth and final section of the Interstate 69 connection between Evansville and Indianapolis. The project will upgrade the existing S.R. 37 to interstate standards between Martinsville and Indianapolis.
Governor Eric Holcomb’s Next Level Connections program fully funded the project and accelerated construction by three years. I-69 Finish Line is expected to open to traffic in late 2024, improving safety and reducing travel time.
