What to expect this weekend:
- I-465 eastbound from Mooresville Rd. to US 31/East St. will be reduced to a single travel lane starting at 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, through 5 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 25. This will allow crews to apply new pavement markings and shift traffic into new lane configurations. The following ramps will also be closed during this time:
- Harding St. ramp to I-465 eastbound
- US 31/East St. southbound ramp to I-465 eastbound
- I-69 southbound and northbound from Epler Ave. to Southport Rd. will be reduced to a single travel lane starting at 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, through 5 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 25. This will allow crews to apply new pavement markings and shift traffic into new lane configurations.
- Lane closures will occur on northbound and southbound lanes of the US 31/East St. bridge over I-465 on Sat. Nov. 23, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for drainage work.
- I-465 westbound from US 31/East St. to I-70 will be reduced to a single travel lane to allow crews to add new pavement markings and shift traffic into new lane configurations. This restriction will start at 9 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24, and end by 5 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 25.
What to expect next week:
- Crews will continue adding new pavement markings and shifting traffic into new lane configurations on I-465 eastbound. Expect a single travel lane between Mann Rd. and US 31/East St. on Monday, Nov. 25, and Tues. Nov. 26, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- Starting the evening of Wednesday, Nov. 27 and continuing through Sunday, Dec. 1, expect I-465 eastbound and westbound to be open to three-to-four lanes of unrestricted travel from I-70 to US 31/East St. for Thanksgiving travel.
