I-69 Finish Line (Contract 4) was named a Top 10 Regional Winner in the category of Operations Excellence as part of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO)’s annual America’s Transportation Awards.
“The America’s Transportation Awards competition highlights the critical role state DOTs play in improving safety, enhancing mobility, and improving quality of life for their communities,” AASHTO Executive Director Jim Tymon said after the award was announced Wednesday, August 28.
All nominated projects first compete at the regional level against projects of their own size. Following the Mid America Association of State Transportation Officials (MAASTO) regional competition, three recipients will move on to the national competition in September.
