  • S.R. 252 traffic shifted onto new pavement east of S.R. 37 last week and a similar traffic shift is expected west of S.R. 37 in the coming month.
  • Ohio Street traffic is expected to shift onto its new alignment near S.R. 37 late this week or early next week. Southview Drive is expected to reopen the same day at Mahalasville Road/Artesian Avenue.
  • Henderson Ford Road north of S.R. 37 is expected to shift onto new pavement early this week. This will allow road crews to remove the existing Henderson Ford Road and pave the remaining I-69 lanes through this area.
  • The private railroad is planning repairs to the S.R. 39 crossing it manages between Mitchell Avenue and Morgan Street in Martinsville. S.R. 39 is expected to remain open with flaggers during the repairs, which are scheduled between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. each night the weekend of July 9-11.
  • Waterline installation continues along Old S.R. 37 north of S.R. 144. Slow down and stay alert for flaggers controlling traffic.
  • Stones Crossing Road/County Road 700 North is expected to close east of S.R. 37 on or after Wednesday, July 7. Access will be maintained in phases to Stones Crossing Church during frontage road construction.
  • Banta Road remains closed north of S.R. 37. Crews are monitoring traffic on the detour, which follows S.R. 144, Waverly Park Road/Old S.R. 37 and Huggin Hollow Road.
  • Two local roads are scheduled to close on or after July 21. A two-week closure of Belmont Avenue and Winslet Boulevard is planned for utility work east of S.R. 37 at the south entrance to Aspen Lakes Apartments. Thompson Road will also close permanently for interchange construction between Warman Avenue and Stoops Freightliner-Quality Trailer. Access to the Sunshine Gardens neighborhood will be from Epler Avenue.
  • Watch for flaggers and construction equipment entering and exiting the work zone from local roads. Construction entrances are on Wicker, County Line and Fairview roads near S.R. 37.
  • In the coming weeks, S.R. 37 southbound traffic will be shifted across the median between Southport Road and Bluffdale Road. This will allow construction to begin for the new I-69 southbound pavement and bridges through this area.
  • Crews continue to drill for soil samples on the southwest side of Indianapolis. Upcoming locations include Meridian Street underneath I-465 and the S.R. 67/Kentucky Avenue ramp looping up to I-465 westbound.

The actual starting date and duration for work and any closures may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen activities occur.
